What it is
Just Amla. Nothing else.
Amla, also known as Indian Gooseberry, is one of the most widely used ingredients in Indian homes. Naturally rich in Vitamin C, polyphenols and plant antioxidants, it has been part of hair-care rituals, skincare preparations and everyday nutrition for generations. Few ingredients have moved so comfortably between different parts of daily life.
In hair care, Amla has long been valued for its place in hair packs, scalp applications and wash-day rituals. It is often combined with ingredients such as Shikakai, Reetha and Hibiscus, creating preparations that have been used across generations. Its versatility and familiarity have made it one of the most recognised ingredients in traditional hair care.
Beyond the bathroom, Amla has always had a place in the kitchen. Mixed into drinks, consumed with warm water or added to everyday foods, it became a simple way of including a familiar fruit in daily life. Long before it was called a superfood, it was already a staple ingredient in many households.
Amla also found its way into skincare preparations. Mixed into face packs and combined with ingredients such as turmeric, it became part of simple routines built around familiar ingredients rather than manufactured products.
What we carry is single-ingredient amla powder — dried and powdered. No additives. No fragrance. No fillers. Just amla, the way it has always been used.
Ritual Context
Amla rarely stayed in one place. In many homes, it was stirred into drinks and foods, mixed into hair packs and added to skincare preparations. It belonged wherever it was needed, moving naturally between the kitchen, the bathroom and the dressing table. Few ingredients crossed so many boundaries so effortlessly.
